The Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Board Department of Public Safety will conduct a full scale exercise called “LifeSaver ‘17” at DFW International Airport on July 22, 2017. The exercise will test the preparedness for a major event that, if real, will require response from many participating agencies at the local, state, and federal levels.

You will be informed of your assigned location before the exercise begins. At least three (3) days before the exercise, you will receive a reminder email about when you should arrive, where to park, and any other pertinent information including anticipated weather conditions, appropriate attire, and an estimate of the time required for your participation. A boxed meal along with snacks and water will be provided.

**PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT wear clothing of importance the day of the drill. It is possible that your clothes may become soiled or torn and it is strongly advised that disposable attire be worn. **

Volunteer will be needed for at least 5-7 hours.

You will receive further details about your assignment after you report on July 22. While exercise activities vary, volunteers will generally be used to play the role of an ill, injured, walking wounded, or deceased victim. Tasks likely to be associated with these roles could include frequent sitting, pushing and/or pulling, crouching, stooping, squatting, standing, and walking. Some volunteers may be asked to lie on the ground or pavement, slump down in a specific position on the ground or an assigned seating area, walk in a manner suggesting a limp or injury, apply makeup to simulate an injury, climb up or down stairs, or received simulated patient care. Volunteers will not receive any type of actual medical care or treatment related to the exercise.
